The Baby Bullet :)

So…I like infomercials (don’t judge me)!  My husband says they make them just for people like me (ha!).  I always want to buy whatever is being sold.  When I was pregnant and saw the Baby Bullet infomercial, I just HAD to get it!!!  I knew Mario would disagree, simply because I tend to buy things such as this and barely use it once.  BUT, I was with my mom at the time and she convinced me that it really would be a great investment and since it would be for the betterment of my child she knew I would actually put it to use.  Mom’s okay was all it took!  I bought it right then and there.Fast forward to now at the 6 month old mark for Madison and she’s started SOLIDS (yay, milestone :))!

So how about that bullet….
I LOVE IT and I’m using it like no one’s business!  It literally takes 10 to 15 minutes or less to prepare fruits and vegetables (this includes the cooking time prior to pureeing).  I’ve even made the banana puree (pictured at the bottom) while holding Maddie AND taking the pics!  Can’t beat that!!!
So far we’ve had bananas as well as avocados (eww, but she likes them) and SWEET potatoes (um, yum!)…
…and as you can see, I used the baby bullet steamer (top left) to steam food, if needed, prior to pureeing.  It’s my understanding that steaming helps to retain more nutrients than boiling so when I saw this bad boy in Target, I couldn’t resist.  After using it, I probably could have saved that money, but it is quick and easy and it gets the job done. From my perspective, so far so good on solids with Maddie and I’m quite happy with the bullet.  However, I’ve only made simple purees up to this point.  We’ll see how I feel about it when I’m making full courses like chicken and rice, soup, etc.  But as of today I’d give the bullet a rating of 4/5!

From Maddie’s perspective, well, you be the judge…

Gotta love this lil’ lady 🙂
