Baked Cinnamon Spice Donut

I've got a sweet recipe lined up for you today.  Donuts!! I love a good donut and love to see the hot sign on when I pass by our local Kristy Kreme.  But, there's nothing like a hot, fresh, homemade donut, am I right?! Yes, the answer is yes, I'm right.

Definitely give these a try.  Making donuts at home is so much easier than you think.
For the donuts
1 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
1 Tsp baking powder
1/4 Cup granulated sugar
3 Tsps cinnamon
1 Tsp allspice
3/4 Tsp salt
1/2 Cup milk
2 Eggs
2 1/2 Tbsps butter
1 1/2 Tsps vanilla extract

For the topping
2 1/2 Tbsps butter
3/4 Cup brown sugar
1 Tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease donut pan and set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, allspice, cinnamon, and salt.
In a small bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, butter and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir well until combined.
Spoon the batter into the donut pan filling it 3/4 of the way.
Place donut pan in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove and let cool.
Melt butter in the microwave
Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
Brush the top of the donuts with melted butter.
Dip donuts in the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture.

Serve and enjoy!

Add an extra touch of vanilla by putting 3 tbsps of vanilla pudding in the donut batter.
