21 Day Fast

A few of my co-workers and I are trying to keep each other accountable this year in regards to our eating habits and exercise schedule. One of my co-workers sent us the following 21 day fast and I’ve included the dates in which I plan to do it below (starting next week). Feel free to join in below. It’s quite simple (not to be confused with easy ;)):

Week 1 - Jan 12th- Jan 18th

Mark 9:29 – And He said unto them, this kind can come forth by nothing but prayer and fasting.
The only beverage we will consume this week is water. Eat as normal.
No TV from 8pm – Midnight


Week 2 – Jan 19th-Jan 25th
Matthew 5:6 – Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, 
for they shall be filled.

No sweets and water will continue to be the only beverage consumed
No TV from 8pm – Midnight


Week 3 – Jan 26th-Feb 1st (until 11am)
Isaiah 58:6 – Is this not the Fast I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, 
to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke!

No meats or sweets, water will continue to be the only beverage consumed.
No TV from 8pm – Midnight

  1. Fasting is one thing I struggle with. Renewing my faith in the Lord and being the best Christian I can be is on my list of things to do this year. I have trouble withholding things from my body. I know that fasting is about being able to control yourself and tell your body no, BUT it's also about eating the word of God. I get so focused on not being able to have that I forget to supplement!!

    This is awesome! I'm sure you've got this!!
