After School Snacking with Ellio’s Pizza!

One thing I’ve noticed since welcoming baby Morgan home is how much more grown up Madison has become. It’s as if she’s aged dramatically overnight. She’s still so very innocent and playful, yet she’s become quite nurturing and attentive when it comes to her little sister. She is also becoming even more independent and likes time to herself now as well.
Lately, when she gets home she immediately wants to see Morgan. She then does one of three things: opt for an hour of screen time, play with toys in her play area or head upstairs to play with her doll house. No matter which option she chooses, an afternoon snack is always requested.
With a new baby in tow to tend to as well, we look for snacks that are convenient and easy to prepare, yet still fun and enjoyable for Madison. I’ve found that you can’t go wrong with kids and pizza, so Ellio’s Pizza has become a fast favorite around these parts in the evening. There are six flavors to choose from, including pepperoni of course, but Maddie is a “cheese only please” type of girl. One thing I love about this pizza is how much it reminds me of the pizza I used to eat when I was growing up—simple, delicious and filling—which is why busting out a box for Maddie gives me some serious #Pizzastalgia. But more importantly, I love the fact that it’s made with fresh ingredients, 100% real cheese, no artificial flavors and is ready in less than 15 minutes.

She’s had swimming lessons twice per week for the past three weeks and is ravenous when we get home. By the time she gets settled into whatever activity she’s chosen for the evening, her snack is ready and it’s just enough to hold her over until dinner time.

With the summer winding down, and my maternity leave over, Ellio’s Pizza will definitely be in heavy rotation after school this fall. You should add it to your grocery list too!
