Prayer Tied to Scripture

One of my weaknesses, or greatest fears really, is public speaking/presenting. I get extremely nervous, sweaty, and I tend to have a hard time articulating what I want to say and presenting information that I know like the back of my hand. I had to present at work a while back and that morning the Lord spoke to me through Exodus 4:10-12:

10 Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” 11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (NIV)

It’s so amazing to me how He sent me that word right when I needed it most. I left my presentation feeling like I’d done a great job…I’ve NEVER left a presentation feeling that way before no matter how much I’ve prayed about it in advance. Just reminds me once more how powerful it is to be in the word and to tie my prayers/requests to scripture!

I’m a firm believer that prayer works. I just know that’s it’s so much more powerful and yields greater results when tied to scripture!

Oh yes, prayer DEFINITELY works! Isn't God so great that He gives us the ability to talk to Him?
