Honey Apple Cider Vinaigrette

I’ve always wanted to make my own home-made salad dressing! Turns out making a vinaigrette is fairly simple and it’s packed with so much more flavor than the store-bought dressings! Recently I tried my hand at a homemade Honey Apple Cider Vinaigrette.

It turned out quite lovely!  So here goes…

Homemade Honey Apple Cider Vinaigrette Salad Dressing

Prep Time: 10 min
Adapted from {www.fitsugar.com}

Ingredients

1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Juice from 1 lemon
Salt and pepper

Instructions
  • Whisk together honey, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard , and dried basil.
  • Slowly pour in olive oil while whisking to emulsify.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour into jar with lid and refrigerate.
Note(s)

  • Makes about 1-1/2 cups or 24 one-tablespoon servings.
Lunch was so simple, but yummy and delicious!  I’ll be trying to make homemade ranch dressing soon.  It’s so much more involved so wish me luck!
Happy eating!

oooh! I make a dressing similar to this, but I've never included the basil…it sounds like a great addition; I'll have to try it 🙂
