Snuggle Saturday {Wk #3}

Well, it’s Super Bowl weekend and it’s quite bittersweet for me, actually (you’ll understand why in a second)!!! So, naturally, this week’s Snuggle Saturday {Week #3} theme is the Super Bowl!

Now, I LOVE professional football but lately I’ve been too busy to keep up as much as my husband would like (I promise to do better next year, babe)!

Sarah’s questions | My answers…

1. Do you watch the actual game or only watch for commercials and half time?

I watch for both and this year I’m super excited about both! I’ll always have a love for the Ravens and Ray Lewis as they were my mom’s favorite team / player!  I know she would have been beside herself this year to see them at the Super Bowl again and I could actually see her crying if they were to win b/c it’d be her last time seeing Ray play (she was such a crybaby 🙂 like me)!  I’ll be thinking of her with every play and I’m sure I’ll cry if they win!!!

Also, I LOVE me some Beyonce’! Who doesn’t? She definitely knows how to put on a performance…I know because I’ve seen her in concert and actually look forward to going to another one the next time she goes on tour!  This Super Bowl performance will be a mini-concert from what I’ve seen from all the posted rehearsal footage.  So yeah, I’m definitely excited about half-time for the first time since Janet!!!

2. Which team did you want to make it to the Superbowl?

My team is the San Diego Chargers because of Phillip Rivers, of course, as he went to NC State (Go Wolfpack, ha!). His last year was my freshman year (2003) and we were on fire then!!!

But, I love the rookie quarterbacks, RG3 and Russell Wilson (also from NC State – come on State, turning out some GREAT QB’s)! So, I actually would have been happy if any of the three had made it to the Super Bowl! I’m feeling very hopeful about next season!!!

3. Which team will you root for? The Ravens or the 49ers?

Obviously, I want the Ravens to win, for my mom! I feel like she’ll be up there rooting for them to win and trying to convince God to let them!!!

So come on Raven’s…make me cry!!!!!

I wanted the Bears to get to the Superbowl but since they didn't make it, I'll be rooting for the Ravens. Mainly because Ray Lewis is from my hometown and went to my high school! 🙂 have a wonderful weekend!

I actually like the Bears just a bit too, Julie. They didn't really have a good go at it this season! But how cool is that, having Ray go to your HS. Jerry Stackhouse is the famous person that went to my HS and Jaime Pressly is from my hometown!

      Enjoy your weekend as well!

I love me some Ray and I will be crying when they win also.

Lol, Dani! It will definitely be sad to see him! We'll be crying together :)!!!

Aw, you made me want to root for the Ravens. That is so cool how you have seen people from your school go pro! I went to an artsy school, our football team was terrible, lol.

Yay, Natalie, root for 'em! I think it's SO neat as well, it's like you know them even though you don't, lol!!!

I'm a Pennsylvania girl now living in Ohio. The Steelers are my team, so I'm sort of programmed to not like the Ravens. But this year I'd be good with either team winning. I love Beyonce and I love what she did the other day to shut up the press: "any questions?" I'm glad you mentioned Janet, too. Absolutely LOVE her, I've seen her in concert and she put on an amazing show, and I hated what happened with her Superbowl appearance.

Planning to link up with you for Monthly Measures, which is slightly scary, but I think I'm ready.

The Steelers are my brother's favorite team so I do root for them occasionally as well (depending on who they're playing :))!

I'm SO glad Beyonce' shut the critics up as if people don't already know she can sing. People love making mountains out of molehills! & Janet is my FAVORITE female artist of all time. No she was / is definitely a performer. I still long to see her in concert!

I can't wait to read your Monthly Measures posts!!! So happy you'll be joining in…and don't be scared :)!!!

Hahahahaha! YES! GO RAVENS! I hope they win for your mom too! Also, never have met another San Diego Chargers fan with the exception of my husband. He would be thrilled to know that you're a SD Chargers fan! Hahaha
Thanks for linking up with us!

Thanks, Sarah! Your husband sounds like the best, lol! The Chargers really are a great team!!!

I'm going for the Ravens some cause of the obvious! My team is the Carolina Panthers, I like Cam & they're also my hubby's team! Looking forward to a great sibling rivalry and great game, Beyonce & commercials!

Of course, Tasha! I actually like the Panthers as well since they are my home team and I loved Cam his first year. I feel like he's been dumped on pretty hard this year so I'm hoping he'll come back stronger next season!
