It started off with me traveling for work the second week in January. I was gone all week. Later that month I took a trip to D.C. with a friend to visit another friend just to get away, have fun and help with some final details for her wedding in March.
Madison's birthday month. But first, I had my best friends bridal shower (you know the one I visited in D.C. the month before). It was definitely a group effort, but I felt the onus was on me to ensure that everything was perfect and ran smoothly since I was one of her matrons of honor. Mid-month was her bachelorette weekend, but the other matron of honor, her sister, took the lead on that event. Then the last week of the month my family and I went to Disney World for the week to celebrate Madison turning five!
My best friend got married the first weekend of the month. This came right after our trip to Disney. We drove ten (10) hours from Florida on Thursday, I slept in on Friday then headed to Greenville for rehearsal/dinner and to hang out with the bride-to-be. Saturday, the day of the wedding, was a FULL day with the wedding party going nonstop from 5am to about 9pm. It was a beautiful, incredible, day and I couldn't be more happy for Mionna and her husband, Chris.
So, if you've been wondering where I've been there you have it, folks -- I've been as busy as can be. I'll admit, that I felt slightly overwhelmed with all that I had going on this quarter because, of course, all I mentioned above is in addition to all of my day-to-day responsibilities. By the time we got around to the Disney trip I was so ready and truly welcomed the break. We had an amazing time in Florida and I can't wait to share how I planned the trip, the cost, tips, and of course, photos! If you follow me on Snapchat (@pharr_away) you literally got a play-by-play of each day, but I'll load a compiled video to YouTube eventually. Do follow me on that platform though, I really enjoy that space.
Coming up, I'll share a bit of the bridal shower planning, pre-wedding fun, Disney World planning, a few recipes and we'll also dig into how I've been doing with therapy.

The second quarter should be a little bit more laid back for me up until the end of May/beginning of June. I am looking forward to the next few months being a bit less hectic and will spend some time doing a bit more writing, reading and figuring out where we're going next year (because I plan our trips a year out).
I hope you all have been doing well this first quarter. Let me know what you've been up to and what you've got planned for the rest of this year...or the next!
