In the Kitchen: Homemade Brownies

Have you ever had homemade brownies SO good you nearly ate the whole batch in one sitting?!?
Well, Mario and I ate more than half of these brownies in one sitting.  We’re talking unbelievably delicious, made from scratch, moist on the inside, crispy on the outside, ooey gooey chocolatety, deliciousness!
Do you get the picture I’m trying to form?!?
Basically, I’ll never, and I mean, NEVER buy boxed brownies AGAIN…EVER
Brownies

Ok, ok, enough with the dramatization right *snickering*!  The original recipe can be found here!

I made a few minor changes :)…

Ingredients
1/3 cup – Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup – Unsalted Butter (melted)
1 cup – Sugar
2 Egg (beaten)
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/4 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 cup – All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup – Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1/4 Tsp Salt

    Prep / Cook Time:  15 min / 25 – 30 min
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Bowl 1:

Mix sugar, melted butter and vanilla.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Bowl 2:
Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, mix.

Add the ingredients from Bowl 2 into Bowl 1 (gradually)
Stir in chocolate chips (or nuts), if desired.
Pour mixture into a prepared 9×9 in. baking pan
Cool on a rack after baking, prior to cutting
    (this is SO important).

Try it!  I’m telling you, they’ll make you want to slap somebody!  Maybe.  Not really.  But they’re really GOOD!

Next week:  Pancakes!

We’ll discuss how I get the edges so crispy and delicious!!!
